Who are we?
Mallard Marine is a full service sales and service boat dealer dedicated to our customers. We offer new sales of Allison and Bullet Boats, Mercury Outboards, and almost every marine accessory brand on the market.
Mallard Marine was founded as an idea in the Spring of 2016 in the parking lot of Dallas Baptist University as a way to make money at school fixing up old boats. With the help of my new friends and now great mentors Ronnie and Justin Fretwell of Xtreme Marine, I began to learn the marine industry. I fixed boats in the parking lot behind the DBU soccer field until the Athletic Director decided the small boat yard full of engine stands and parts was an eye sore. I myself was sunburned. It was time for a move.
In the summer of 2018, the name Mallard Marine was born as we rented our first building in Trenton Texas and hung our banner. We filed officially with the state and began taking official repair jobs. While finishing my Biology degree at DBU during the day, I worked until the wee hours of the morning at the shop in Trenton at night, carving out our first customer relationships.
Young and unsure of ourselves, my wife and I made the decision upon graduating from Dallas Baptist University in the winter of 2018 to move to East Texas. We loaded every possession we owned on a borrowed trailer and moved the shop to Nacogdoches Texas. Mallard Marine was now full time. After a year renting a shop, we were blessed to purchase our current location on 259 north of Central Heights and have spent the last couple years working hard to learn and enhance our repair capabilities as well as secure product deals with the companies that interest our customers.
Today, Mallard Marine employs 3 hard working employees and has had the great privilege of servicing or repairing over 1000 boats and counting. We have sold boats as far south as Corpus Christi and as far north as Ontario Canada. We appreciate every single person who has embarked on the journey with us and look forward to many years serving our faithful customers.
